Common Basic Classification of Stainless Steel Chains

Chains are categorized into four types based on their different uses and functions: drive chains, conveyor chains, hoisting chains, and specialized specialty chains. Drive chains are primarily used for power transmission. Conveyor chains are mainly employed for material handling. Hoisting chains are primarily used for towing and lifting. Specialized specialty chains are mainly utilized in dedicated mechanical devices, featuring unique functions and structures.  
Among similar products, chain product series are classified based on the fundamental structure of the chain, including the shape of components, parts and sections meshing with the chain, and the dimensional proportions between parts. Chains come in many types, but their basic structures are limited to the following, with others being variations of these.  From the above chain structures, we can see that most chains consist of components such as chain plates, pins, and bushings. Plate chains: Ring chains for lifting, high-strength ring chains for mining, ring chains for hoists, pin shaft chains, cold-drawn machine chains, block-type heavy-duty drag chains, roller traction chains, and bent plate chains for traction
Specialized chains: Vane-type continuously variable chains, protective conveyor chains, saw chains, boiler chains, water scraper chains, iron printing and baking furnace chains, pipe wrench chains, agricultural sickle chains, thrust chains, and custom-shaped chains
